Paris is one of the photographic capitals of the world and one of the birthplaces of street photography as we know it today. Gavin and Gareth Bragdon shall be running a two day workshop in Paris coinciding with the Street Sans Frontières street photography exhibition which runs from  12-14 of May.

The workshop starts on Saturday the 13th of May and will take you through to some of the best places in Paris in which to shoot street photography. Both days will include class time at the beginning of the day in which we will talk about techniques, composition, what makes a good photograph and so on. There will also be a session to look over peoples portfolios…this not only for feedback but also to see where the student is at, what they want and their vision. From there we will spend a few hours on the street for practical application of skills learned in the class room and elsewhere. At the end of both days, the class will break up and students will work on some of their photos for later discussion. The aim of the worksop is to provide good grounding in the application of street photography skills, to improve ones own practice and to build ones confidence, encourage a unique vision from each photographer and break beyond the cliche images of Paris to create images that stand out and show another angle of the city.

Gavin and Gareth Bragdon are two brothers who are based in Edinburgh, Scotland and have been shooting the streets there and elsewhere since 2012.  The two are mainly known for their flash work and are members of the collectives Grey Skies and Full Frontal Flash.
